Privacy Policy

This policy covers two separate things, and it is worth being clear which is which.

• This website, unclesystems.com, which is a portfolio. Visiting it is anonymous.
• The analytics application operated by Uncle Systems, which connects to social accounts you own and shows you their numbers in one place. Everything from section 02 onward is about that application.

The application is private. It is used by the account owner and by nobody else, and it is not offered to the public.

When you connect a TikTok account, we request only the scopes needed to show you your own numbers. We use TikTok's Display API.

We do not receive your password. Authorisation happens on TikTok, and TikTok gives us a token that you can revoke at any time.

When you connect a Facebook Page or an Instagram account, we request read only insight permissions and collect the metrics those platforms return: reach and view counts, engagement counts, video watch time and retention, follower movement, and post level metadata such as post time and permalink.

The permissions requested are limited to reading engagement and insights. We do not request permission to post, message, manage, or advertise on your behalf.

• Direct messages, comments you have not published, or any private conversation.
• Data about anyone other than the account holder who authorised the connection. Aggregate audience figures such as country breakdowns are never resolved to individual people.
• Payment card details, bank details or government identifiers.
• Your social account password, at any point, in any form.
• Contact lists, phone contacts or address books.

One purpose only: to show the account holder their own performance over time, so they can decide what to publish next. Platforms discard history (Instagram keeps roughly 90 days of account insights), so we store daily snapshots to make this month comparable with last month.

We do not use this data to train models, to build advertising profiles, or to enrich any other dataset.

Access tokens are stored outside the database as encrypted environment secrets. The database records the name of a secret, never its value.

Metric snapshots are kept for as long as the account remains connected, because a history that is deleted stops being useful for comparison. Access tokens are deleted immediately when a connection is revoked.

You can ask for all stored data to be deleted at any time. We will do it within 30 days and confirm when it is done.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers or any third party for their own purposes.

The only third parties involved are the infrastructure providers that run the application: Supabase for the database and Vercel for hosting. They process data on our instructions and have no independent right to use it. If we are ever legally compelled to disclose data, we will tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.

• Revoke at any time. In the TikTok app under Settings, Security and permissions, Manage app permissions. On Meta under Settings, Business Integrations. Revoking stops all future collection immediately.
• Request a copy of everything stored about your account.
• Request deletion of everything stored about your account.
• Ask a question and get an answer from a person, not a form.

Use the contact address in section 13 for any of these.

unclesystems.com serves no advertising, runs no analytics and sets no cookies of any kind. Nothing about your visit is recorded. If that ever changes, this section changes with it and the date at the top of this page moves.

If you send a message through the contact form, we keep what you wrote and how to reply to you, and nothing else.

The application is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Connected accounts are business or creator accounts operated by adults.

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or what we do with it, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify the account holder directly before the change takes effect.
